Each season brings its own potential difficulties when it comes to spinal issues. These issues are multiplied because most human beings-bright, intelligent, well educated and everything else in between- have a tendency to do stupid things!!!
Please understand I am not saying that people are stupid, but boy in my almost 40 year career do some folks have an affinity to doing stupid things. A lot of these things create issues with our neuromuscular skeletal parts in the body because we do too much, we don't know when enough is enough and we push our bodies to the brink.
Examples...
Mulching for 10 hours without breaks because the next day might have bad weather, going to the beach and renting a wave runner that is really tough on the spine if not in moderation, going on summer hikes and not stretching and going for too long.
There are so many examples and it is because we just don't listen to our bodies enough that these bad things happen. The bigger problem is not so much our bodies talking to us, its more so not knowing our limitations and when to stop before our bodies start talking to us.
So one of my big responsibilities as a caring and loving chiropractor is to remind y'all to do things IN MODERATION. The word moderation protects us from going over the line and really hurting our selves.
